Jammu, December 23: Jehangir Lone and leggie Yawar were stars for Waseem Raza XI as they defeated Ahmad Banday XI in one of the trial matches at GGM Science College Ground, here on Wednesday.
Lone made 43 not out while as Yawar picked three wickets for his side.
Earlier, batting first, Banday XI could only make 125 runs as Subaib and Waseem Raza shared 5 wickets amongst themselves. Banday top-scored with 22 runs while Khalid Bhat also struck 21 runs.
Raza XI chased down the total easily with Jehangir Lone making unbeaten 43 runs. Umar Nissar also made 33 runs in the chase.
Match Summary:
In another match played at M.A Stadium, Banday XI made 127 runs while batting first against Mohammed Mudhasir XI.
Zaid scored in 40s and Haziq Bhat contributed 28 runs while Amir Aziz picked second consecutive 3-wicket-haul. In reply, only 10 overs were bowled as bad-light stopped the play. Shabir made around 30 runs for Mudhasir XI.
