England’s advancement to the semi-finals of the ongoing FIFA World Cup in Russia has led to the postponement of a T20 Blast game between Yorkshire and Derbyshire in Headingley. Initially slated to be held on Wednesday (July 11), the match has now been moved forward to Monday (July 30) at 06:30 PM local time.Yorkshire County Cricket Club have said that they have taken the decision with the “best interests of spectators” in mind, as well as after taking into account the travel advice for the Headingley area on Wednesday night.
Yorkshire are currently placed fifth on the North Group points table with one win in two games while Derbyshire are in the bottom two, having lost both their games so far.
