The J&K cricket ‘Superstar’ Parvez Rasool shined again for Gazi Group Cricketers with second man of the match performance of 91 run knock and one wicket against Abahani Ltd in Bangladesh on Saturday.
Playing his fifth match of the Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League Parvez who has been in great batting form scored attacking 91 run knock off mere 87 deliveries in taking Gazi Group total to 282 runs for the loss of nine wickets in allotted 50 overs. Anamul Haque with 97 runs was highest scorer for them while as Parvez scored 91. The JK cricketer’s inning included four boundaries and three sixes and he consumed only 87 deliveries in the process. It was the inning that showed the real class of Indian all-rounder. He paced the inning beautifully showing restrain when Anamul Haque was going well and then pushing the tempo when it was required.
In reply Abahani Ltd got all out for 257 runs in 48 overs. While all the other bowler were going above five runs per over Parvez Rasool bowled controlled spell of 10 overs taking wicket and giving only 46 runs. Gazi group won by 25 runs and Parvez was adjudged as man of the match. It is second man of the match award for the Kashmir based cricketer in the league.
