Srinagar: There is never a dull moment in Pakistan cricket whether it is in Country or its players are playing outside Country, with latest to join the list of memorable moment’s is youngster Haider Ali while playing in T20 Blast for Derbyshire.
Haider Ali who was batting in the middle with Luis Reece while chasing a huge 200 plus run target against Birmingham Bears, got out in a comical fashion which left everyone laughing and confused.
Reece and Haider Ali were going well raising 50 from 33 balls. They set down the perfect platform before being parted in scruffy (Comical) fashion when Haider Ali charged and missed at Danny Briggs.
Davies missed the stumping at the first attempt with Haider Ali making his ground only to scatter again outside the crease in a moment. With the batter down the track again Davies had time to complete it second time round. Square leg umpire gave it stumping while as there was debate whether it is runout or stumping. Haider Ali offcourse wasn’t happy and looked at the umpire and Greece at the other end. The Pakistan batter got out after scoring 48.
Meanwhile Derbyshire registered six wicket over Birmingham in the match. du Plooy top scored with 66 and Reece made 57.
Derbyshire 207 for 4 (du Plooy 66*, Reece 57) beat Birmingham Bears 203 for 7 (Hain 79, McKiernan 3-39) by six wickets.
