Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) on Saturday finalised the squads for upcoming Senior Multi-Day Final, which is set to played from August 16th to 18th at Sher-e-Kashmir Stadium, Srinagar.
Jammu province team and Kashmir province team will lock horns in the summit clash as was the case in earlier tournaments of ’Cricket for Peace Cup’.
The two squads were picked after several multi-day matches were played at both the provinces. The Jammu squad will be led by Shubham Pundir while Fazil Rashid will captain the Kashmir team.
The final will be a three-day event while the league matches were played in two-day format. Star cricketers like Abdul Samad and Parvez Rasool will also be part of this match.
Umran Malik, who recently became just the second J&K cricketer to play at the international level, was also expected to play this match. However, as per our sources, he would have to join an National Cricket Academy (NCA) camp due to which he won’t participate in the final.
