Srinagar: J&K Sports Council has decided to act tough against ‘unqualified coaches’ active in J&K and has also decided to provide free coaching at its facilities to all the players.

Coming clear about the recent developments in which some of the Taekwondo players have been protesting against being thrown out of Polo Ground Indoor Stadium, Secretary Sports Council said that not a single player would be stopped to avail benefits of Sports Council facilities.

“We are not against players but we have started to act against unauthorised, self-proclaimed coaches who are misguiding our youth. It is a drive against this illegal practice and we want to make general masses aware about who is real and who is not,” said Secretary Sports Council Nuzhat Gul.

“In order to provide best coaching to our players in any part of J&K, Sports Council has decided to provide all facilities free of cost. Our coaches would be imparting training to all the interested players free of cost,” she added.

She suggested that parents, before enrolling their kids with any organisation or person, should make sure they are doing that through right medium.

“Our request to all the parents is that they should enquire about the person or organisation before sending thier kids for training. I also request them to feel free to send thier kids to get training free of cost at Sports Council facilities”.
