Pattan, August 23: A clinical knock by Lateef Monday led Kashmir Knights Sozeith to the semi-finals of the 17th SNW Memorial Cricket Trophy as they beat WCCS Budgam by 35 runs.
Earlier, batting first, Kashmir Knights put on a good total of 195 runs on board with Lateef making 76. Safdar Ali and Aqib Khan shared two wickets apiece for opponents.
In reply, Budgam couldn’t catch the target, falling short by 35 runs. Sultan (42) and Adil Rasheed (35) scored cameos. For Sozeith, Bhat Showkat, Bilal and Faisal Dar picked 2 wickets each.
Lateef was adjudged man of the match for his 76-run knock.
