Baramulla, August 01: Kashmir Knights Sozeith and MLACC Budgam Sunday won their respective matches in the ongoing 17th SNW Memorial Cricket Trophy at Chanderhama, here.
Haider Ali (69) topped the batting charts for Knights while Manzoor Pandav also struck a 46-run cameo, steering them to a huge total of 204 runs against SKB Naidkhai. For bowling side, Burhan picked 3 wickets.
In reply, Naidkhai could only make 164 runs, awarding Knights a 40-run win. Aijaz Ahmad remained the highest run-getter as he made 62. Jaleel, on other side, picked a couple of wickets for Knights.
Haider bagged the man of the match award for his knock.
In afternoon game, Royal Kashmir Sumbal made hige 193 runs after opting to bat first. Waseem Kandoor (65) and Huzaif (60) were the top run-getters. For MLACC, Jahangeer Farooq scalped a 3-fer.
Despite the huge total, Budgam found no trouble whatsoever in chasing it down. They finished the match in 16 overs with 9 wickets in hand.
Basharat Ali made 86 while Asif Hussain fired 85 in the chase. Basharat, for his fiery knock, was adjusted as man of the match.
