Baramulla, August 12: Asad CC Sopore defeated Shaheen Sports Chanderhama while Mariya Goushbugh got better of Wanigam CC in the two matches played on Thursday in the ongoing 17th SNW Memorial Cricket Trophy at Chanderhama.
In game one, Shaheen Sports made 122 runs, thanks to cameos by Junny (28) and Basharat (25). For bowling side, Idress Mushtaq picked three wickets.
Asad CC chased down the total comfortably in 13.3 overs with 7 wickets in hand. Imran fired 54 while Fayaz Sarwar contributed 35 runs. Imran for his fifty was declared man of the match.
In game two, Wanigam CC put on 152-run total with Uzair Mir (32) ane Enayat Malik (31) scoring cameos. Khaleef (3) and Muntazir (2) were amongst the wickets.
In reply, Mariya CC reached the target im 14.5 overs. Zubair Wani made 44 while Muneer struck 35 runs.
Zubair, for his 44 and a wicket, won man of the match award.
