SHOCK: Abdul Samad sent to join J&K U-23 team

In another shocking decision, JKCA has sent Abdul Samad to join the U-23 team in Bangalore after the team lost three out of the four matches.

Apart from him, Rydham, who wasn’t even part of the U-23 probables, has also been included in the team, out of nowhere. They have replaced Arya Thakur and Kanhaiya Wadhwan in the squad.

Both have done really well for J&K in the past, especially Kanhaiya Wadhwan who played a major role in taking the team to the knockouts last year. His exclusion has also come as a shock.

“It seems JKCA is trying to mess up careers of many talented cricketers just to save their image. They are losing in every age group and senior tournaments, so now to make sure they win some matches against weak teams, they sent Abdul Samad with the team,” a former cricketer, expressing anguish with this selection, said.

“Also, how did Rydham make it to the team? He wasn’t part of the probables! How are these selections made?” he further questioned.

Samad made an impression straightaway, firing 19-ball 51 runs against Arunachal Pradesh in the ongoing match where J&K tonked up 406 runs batting first.

It is for the first time after making it big that Samad has been made to play for an age-group team, which has come as a shock to many. Samad has been playing IPL for many years and is already a regular member of the J&K senior team.
