Sheri-Kashmir Sports won the Socio Sports Board T20 Champions Trophy by defeating Legacy Malaknag Anantnag today at Awami Stadium Aakura Anantnag.
In the beginning of the match, the toss was won by Legacy Malaknag Anantnag and elected to bat first. Batting first Legacy Malaknag Anantnag lost important wickets very early and set a very low target of 87 runs before the opponent. Imran was the highest scorer who scored 32 runs from L.M Anantnag side. while from the bowling side Yawer Khan took 4 wkts and Majid took 3 wkts.
In reply Sheri Kashmir Sports Chased the Target very easily and won the match in the 10th over by 7 wkts. In which Ishtiyaq smashed very hard hitting 28 runs. Thus Sher-e-Kashmir Sports became the champion team of the tournament. Yawer Khan was declared Man of the final Match for his 4 wkts haul and Sahil Khan was declared as Man of the Tournament, who scored 234 runs in the tournament with 126 runs as best and took 9 wkts with the ball. Besides them, there were also several appreciation awards given to players, official and guests during the Award ceremony. Guest of honour award was given to Dr. Riyaz Veeri and Tanveer Iqbal.
On the final award ceremony Tariq Shah Veeri was the chief guest along with other guest included Lal Mohammad Ganie (Patron Dachnipur Cricket Federation), Mohammad Firdous Mamaji (Captain Iqbal Sports), Tanveer Iqbal (Chairman Socio Sports Board Aakura), Ghulam Mohammad Khanday (Commentator), Dr. Riyaz Veeri (Chairman Veerian Cricket Academy), Fayaz Ahmad, Showkat Bashir, Nasir Hussain, Arsheed Abdullah Veeri (President Veerian Cricket Academy) and many others, who gave away the Trophies and Awards to players and officials of the tournament. At the end of the Award ceremony, the Chief Guest and other guests lauded the efforts of organizing body and Members included Tanveer Iqbal (Chairman), Sajad Ah Mir, Shahid Gul and Nisar Rasool of Social Sports Board Aakura for organzing hugely successful Tournament, both in terms of quality of cricket as well as organisation.
