Sharda University Delhi captain, Kashmir pacer aims to play for state

Ashraf Mir, Kunzer, Baramulla born cricketer who with this impressive bowling skills is leading  Sharda University cricket team, Delhi, has expressed his will to represent his state at national level. pacer

Owing to his ability to swing the ball both ways, Ashraf has owned himself a big name in local cricket at Delhi.

He claims that people there call him with names like “Waseem Akram”,

“I have been playing for various clubs here in Delhi and seeing me bowling, people call me with names like Waseem Akram,” Ashraf says.

Ashraf has played for Sharda University in multiple inter-university tournaments and got selected for North Zone team for a couple of times,

“Good performances at Inter-university level made me appear for North Zone team for a few times and I did well there as well,” He said.

Apart from his flamboyant pace bowling, he can be helpful down the order in batting as well.

Ashraf is willing to play for his state, Jammu and Kashmir in coming times,

“I’m trying hard and playing as many local matches to catch the limelight. I hope I’ll soon get an opportunity to play for my state,” He added.
