Shaheen Afridi signs 3 year deal with Desert Vipers in ILT20 season

Srinagar: Pakistan pace superstar Shaheen Shah Afridi has signed a three year deal with UAE’s ILT20 for the Desert Vipers side.

With that Shaheen Afridi has become first Pakistan cricketer to sign for International League T20.

The 23-year-old will join the squad after his return from Australia following the New Year’s Test in Sydney, as the season kicks off on January 13th, 2024.

Desert Vipers’ bowling attack already boasts notable talents like Wanindu Hasaranga, Matheesha Pathirana, Tom Curran, and Sheldon Cottrell. His inclusion is anticipated to bring an extra edge to the team’s performance and strategy.

Last season no Pakistan cricketer was part of the ILT20 and this season more cricketer are expected to sign.

Currently, Shaheen Afridi is actively engaged in representing Welsh Fire in the ongoing The Hundred Men’s competition 2023.
