Srinagar, November 17: J&K Football Association (JKFA) on Wednesday, November 17 announced the J&K squad for the Santosh Trophy tournament from November 21.
Team includes 22 member squad and coach, assistant coach, manager and physio.
The North Zone leg of the Santosh Trophy include five teams.
The teams include Chandigarh, Services, Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh.
Fixtures:
November 21: J&K vs Chandigarh, Sports Complex, Sector 7, Chandigarh.
November 23: J&K vs Services, Sports Complex, Sector 7, Chandigarh.
November 25: UP vs J&K, Sports Complex, Sector 7, Chandigarh.
November 27: Himachal Pradesh vs J&K, Sports Complex, Sector 7, Chandigarh.
J&K Team: Nirdoash Sagotra, Furqan Ahmad, Faisal Thakur, Guatam, Shahid Nazir, Arun Nagyial, Hyder, Tahfeem, Shakir, Imad, Kartik, Raja Musharaf, Aakif, Mehran, Sarmad, Arjun, Mehran Rasool , Adeel, Mehjoor, Furqan Nabi, Asrar and Mohit. Satpal as coach, Shanaz as assistant coach, Zahoor Teli as manager and Dr Yawar as physio.
While the team is scheduled to be flagged off today, the selection process has come under question. Even in recent District Football Associations meeting , the undue interference by JKFA President on selection process was questioned.
