Star striker Aakif Reshi alongwith Shakir and Gautam strike to hand J&K its opening in the Santosh Trophy North Zone leg as J&K defeated Uttrakhandh by 3-1 at Katra Stadium on Monday.
Hosts J&K were playing first match of the tournament and they would not have hoped for the better start then this. J&K emerged winner by 3-1 goals with all its main players finding their name on scoring charts.
It is good news for J&K that Aakif Reshi has found back of the net as he will be crucial if J&K want to proceed into main round from here.
J&K will take on Delhi in its next game on February 13.
