Doda, July 26: Rehmat Cricket Club (RCC) Jammu thrashed Masood Cricket Club (MCC) Bhaderwah by 09 wickets to lift the title trophy of prestigious All India 14th Gufran Memorial T20 Cricket Championship 2018 being played at Sports Stadium Doda here today. 
The tournament was organized by Young Star Cricket Club Doda and sponsored by 10 Rashtriya Rifles Unit Doda, J&K Bank, Green Model Hr Sec School Doda and Shaheen Public Hr Sec School Doda.
Earlier, batting first after winning the toss, MCC Bhaderwah made a very low total of 56 runs for the loss of all their wickets in 13.1 overs. Akshay Saini was the highest scorer who scored 14 runs while Mohsin Najar contributed 12 runs for his team. For RCC Jammu, Sawan Manhas was the most successful bowler who scalped 03 wickets while Teena and Piyush shared 02 wickets each.
In reply while chasing down the target of 57 runs, RCC Jammu team managed to made the target in just 4.5 overs for the loss of 01 wicket, thus by won the match by 09 wickets. Abhimanyu Khod played a brilliant innings of 40 runs off 18 runs while Piyush contributed 15 runs for his team. For MCC Bhaderwah, Shafqat Khakhan picked 01 wicket.
On the valedictory function, Deputy Commissioner Doda Sh Simrandeep Singh was the Chief Guest while Commanding Officer 10 RR Col Abhishek Rawat was the Guest of Honor while ACR Doda Tariq Hussain Naik, 2IC 10 RR Alok Singh, CMO Doda Dr Mushtaq Ahmed Shah, Dy SP Hqr Iftikhar Ahmed, Dy SP Traffic Zuhaib Patigaroo, Dy DAR Mansoor Ahmed, Principal GMHSS Doda Om Parkash Chandail, Director SPHSS Doda Hafiz Ullah Khurwani, District Youth Services and Sports Officer Doda Ashok Kotwal, District Panchayat Officer Idrees Wani, Asstt Director Handloom Deptt Haroon Naik, BDO Thathri Rafie Naik and Dr Sajjad Hussain Kraipak were the special guests on the occasion.
For his best batting performance, Abhimanyu Khud of RCC Jammu was adjudged as the Man of the Match where as Abid Mushtaq of MCC Bhaderwah was declared as Man of the Tournament for his best all round performance.
Later on Chief Guest along with other guests distributed prizes among both the team which includes Rs One Lac with trophy to the winning teams out of which Rs 75,000 was sponsored by 10 Rashtriya Rifles Unit Doda where as Rs 50,000 was giving to final runner up team along with trophy.
Speaking on the occasion, DC Doda Sh Simrandeep Singh lauded the efforts of YSCC Doda for organizing such national level event in Doda’s region of chenab valley. DC Doda asked the youth of this region to participate in such events so that they can channelize their energies in a better way to exhibit their hidden talent.
Terming sports as an essential element in maintaining a balance between mind, body and soul, DC Doda Mr Singh exhorted upon the youth to espouse extra curricular activities for their personality development.
Patron YSCC Manzoor Ahmed Batt in his speech, praised all the teams for showing true spirit of sportsmanship during the tournament, expressed thanks to 10 Rashtriya Rifles, District Administration, District Police, J&K Bank, Green Model HSS Doda, Shaheen Public HSS Doda, Health Deparment, JK Information Deptt, Municipal Committee Doda, PHE Deptt, JKPCC and others particularly public of Chenab Valley for their support and cooperation during the tournament due to which the tournament ended successfully.
The match was officiated by Yousuf Raza and Harish Raza as Umpires, Sandeep Kaushik as Scorer besides Ashok Sharma and Sandeep Kumar as Video Analyst.
