Srinagar, November 29: Real Kashmir FC and J&K Football Association (JKFA) have welcomed and thanked Lt. Governor J&K Manoj Sinha and J&K Bank Chairmain RK Chhibber for making it sure that J&K Bank players be part of Real Kashmir FC in upcoming national events including I-League.

J&K Bank on Sunday issued an order allowing its it’s three star footballers Danish Farooq, Farhan Ganaie and Adnan to play for Real Kashmir FC. As per sources the development was possible only after the intervention of Lt. Governor J&K Manoj Sinha followed by J&K Bank Chairmain RK Chhibber.

Real Kashmir FC and JKFA have issued statements in which they have welcomed the step and thanked both Lt. Governor and J&K Bank Chairmain.

“We would like to thank the Honbl Lt. Governor @manojsinha_ for supporting us in letter and spirit, including getting 3 of our players released from @JandKBank to play in the prestigious IFA Shield Cup and Hero @ILeagueOfficial @nitishwarKumar @AIFF @KirenRijiju @PMOIndia, ” Real Kashmir FC Tweeted.

J&K Football Association in its statement posted on its official Facebook page also thanked Lt. Governor and J&K Bank Chairmain.


“J&K Football Association expresses sincere thanks to the Lt. Governor J&K UT and Chairman J&K Bank for relieving three J&K Bank Football Players namely Danish Farooq, Farhan Ganai ans Adnan Ayoub for participation from Real Kashmir FC in the prestigious Tournaments of the Country. They will play from RKFC in IFA Shield and I-League matches at Kolkata. J&K Bank had earlier disallowed these players for participation from Real Kashmir FC, ” JKFA statement reads.

“Sandeep Chottu , Chairman of RKFC, deserves commendation for trying very hard to field a strong side with the inclusion of the trio. The fraternity of footballers has welcomed the decision and are hopeful that the team will excel in their future endeavours. We also appreciate and applaud Real kashmir FC for promoting local lads like Basit Ahmad Bhat, Shakir Ahmad, Hyder Yousuf, Furqan Ahmad and Mehran Hilal to the first team and providing them platform to prove their mettle.J&K Football Association wishes good luck to the team and hope that they will bring laurels to the UT, ” Statement added.
