Ranji Trophy Trial Matches: Nasir Lone takes six wickets on day 1

Nasir Lone’s splendid spell remained the highlight of day one of the ongoing JKCA multi-day trial match being held at Hostel Ground, Jammu.

The all-rounder picked a 6-wicket-haul in his 9-over spell, helping Team ‘B’ led by Kanhaiya Wadhwan gain a huge lead over Team ‘A’, which is captained by Auqib Nabi.

Batting first, Team A was bundled out for a meagre total of 80 runs. Apart from Nasir, Waseem Bashir and Vishal Kumar picked up two wickets each.

In reply, Team ‘B’ replied strongly. After day one stumps, they were 180/3 with a lead of 100 runs. U-23 batter Samarpit Raina is batting in sixties while Arnav Gupta departed after scoring in forties.

The trial match is jointly being held for the senior and U-23 age group for the selection of Ranji Trophy and CK Nayudu Trophy.
