A spirited display of cricket on Tuesday guided J&K to a comprehensive win against Odhisa in the ongoing Ranji Trophy at Cuttack.
With six points from this match, the Parvez Rasool-led side has now gained the top spot in the Group C points table with 32 points in 6 matches.
Earlier, after restricting the home team to a below-par total in the first innings, J&K found themselves in trouble as batsmen failed to resist at the tricky track of Cuttack.
However, Umar Nazir was wrecker-in-chief in second innings, bagging five wickets to ensure visitors get a reasonable target to chase.
The rest of the job was done by young Suryansh Raina, who scored a gutsy half century while lastly, Auqib Nabi and Abdul Samad helped J&K cross the line with four wickets in hand.
In first innings, Auqib Nabi was the star performer as he scalped a fifer apart from contributing valuable runs.
