Ranji Trophy: Shubham, Vivrant shine on Day 1 for J&K vs Uttarakhand

Srinagar: Caotain Shubham Khajuria and all-rounder Vivrant Sharma scored brilliant fifties as J&K got off to a solid start on Day of the Rain affected Ranji Trophy match vs Uttarakhand at JKCA Hostel Ground Jammu today.

At the end Day 1 J&K were 168/2 with Abdul Samad and Vivrant in the middle.

Earlier, winning the toss and batting first, J&K got disastrous start as Qamran Iqbal was dismissed without scoring on the third ball of the very first over of their innings.

Shubham Khajuria and Vivrant Sharma played sensibly, taking score to 119 runs in 26.2 before Shubham’s dismissal.

Shubham Khajuria scored superb 58 runs off 73 balls.

Vivrant continued brilliance alongwith Abdul Samad and took the score to 168/2 in 39 overs at the draw of stumps on day-1 today.

Vivrant remained unbeaten on 78 runs off 110 balls while Samad was at the crease on 31 runs off 47 balls.

For Uttarakhand, D Dhapola took 2 wickets.
