Srinagar: A blistering unbeaten knock of 87 runs by Samiullah Beigh and Parvez Rasool’s defiant 70 helped JK to earn first inning against Services in the match of Ranji trophy at Jaipur on Sunday.
After 183 overs , JK were sold on 551 for the loss of eight wickets with Samiullah still at crease on 87 alongwith Amir Aziz on 28. Earlier Parvez Rasool scored 70 runs of 107 deliveries to brush aside any nervousness of Jk falling short from Services first inning total of 477.
He smashed two boundaries and one six and used mostly his legs to score runs. Ram dayal contributed with 36 runs. After Parvez’s fall 449 it was looking JK may fall short of first inning target or may slightly go above that. However, Samiullah joined the act and started smashing Services bowlers to all corners of the field. He has smashed four sixes and seven boundaries in his 148 delivery knocktill the report was being field. JK has already achieved the first inning lead of 74 runs and team may be waiting for Samiullah to complete his ton.
