Ranji Trophy, Lunch Report – Reshi gives JK quick start after Kerala made 306

 

Srinagar, Oct 8: Adil Reshi gave J&K brisk start in reply to Kerala’s first inning total of 306 at Kolkatta on the third day of the Ranji trophy match on Saturday.

Samiullah Beigh bagged 6-wicket haul to keep Kerala on 306 runs only after they had resumed their inning on 282 for the loss of seven wickets. Beigh picked two more wickets in the morning to take his wicket haul to six. Ram Dayal picked prize scalp of sanju Samson who made 154 runs for his side.

Kerala were bundled out for 306 runs in first inning with Samson top scoring with 154 runs, Jalaj Saxena was another scored 68 for them. For JK, Beigh took six wickets while as Dayal took three. Umer Nazir picked one. Skipper Parvez Rasool went wicketless despite being miserly economical.

In reply JK got to brilliant start with opener, Adil Reshi making coming into the side scoring 40 of just 38 deliveries before giving away his wicket. He was given to LBW against Iqbal Abdullah. At lunch J&K were on 71 for the loss of one wicket. Shubam Khajuria was batting on 10 along with Pranav Gupta on 8.
