Srinagar: The 87 run knock under pressure from Puneet Bisht helped JK to set target of 411 runs in front of Goa to win its Ranji trophy match against JK at Surat on Friday.
JK in its second inning got all out on 261 runs setting a target of 411 runs in front of Goa. Earlier Goa had bundled out for 77 runs in its first inning in reply to JK’s 227 runs first inning score.
Bisht top scored for JK with brilliant 87 run knock that revolved around tailenders. Ian Dev contributed with another fine knock of 64, Shubam with 48. Adil Reshi scored 2, Bandeep 6, Parvez 0, Manhas 12 and Ram Dayal 3, Samiullah 3, Umar Nazir 3 and Amir Aziz remained unbeaten on 15.For Goa Pandekar and Yadav took three wickets each.
Earlier day started with Goa struggling on 43 for the loss of five wickets. They got all out for 77 runs in 3.5 overs. Ram Dayal was pick of the bowlers for JK with taking four wickets while as Umar Nazir took three. Parvez Rasool took two while as Samiullah took one.
Earlier in its first inning JK, made 227 runs. Parvez top scored with 82 while as Ian Dev scored 67.Puneet Bisht chipped in with 40 crucial runs.
