J&K were looking in deep trouble at the end of second days play with 186/7 , still trailing Rajasthan’s first inning total by 193 runs at Jaipur on Friday.

Chasing Rajasthan’s first inning total of 379, J&K batsman failed to apply themselves as their inning was tattering on 186/7 at the end of second day’s play.

Batting Shubham Khajuria who made 40, Paras Sharma who also made 40 and skipper Parvez Rasool who scored 47 off 50 none of the J&K batsman were able to stay in the middle. Even Irfan failed to make any valuable contribution getting out for 14 runs.

Earlier the four wickets in four balls by veteran pacer Mohammad Mudhasir helped J&K bounce back on the second day of the Ranji Trophy match against hosts Rajasthan at Jaipur. Rajasthan got all out for 379 runs in their first inning.

At the start of the second days play no one would have thought of it and even at 329/3 after another solid start to the day, Mohammad Mudhasir striked . His dream spell of a pace bowling left hosts reeling from 329/3 to 330/8 in which he took hat-trick that included four in four. The veteran JK pacer after given J&K breakthrough in shape of Maneria went on to take four wicket in four balls in his next over. Rohit Sharma took last two wickets of Rajasthan inning as they finished on 379.

Chetan Bist top scored for them with 159 while as Manerai scored 59.
