Srinagar: JK bundled out for 162 runs in 65.2 overs on the first day of the four day Ranji trophy match against Himachal Pradesh at Ranchi on Saturday.
Earlier JK endured tough morning session with Shubham Khajuria and out of form batsman Mithun Manhas got retired testing conditions.
At lunch, Jk were two wickets down for the score of 59 runs. However, the biggest worry so far in the inning has been retired hurt of two players Khajuria and Manhas. Parvez was batting at lunch and was yet to open his score. Manhas got retired hurt after scoring 18 while as Khajuria got hurt after 9. Umar Nissar (2) and Ian Dev ( 18) were the only wickets to fall for Jk in morning session. The run-rate of 1.97 per over depicts the tough conditions JK had to endure during the session.
After lunch it was Jk wickets kept falling at regular intervals with whole team getting out for 162. Even though the Khajuria fought valiantly despite injury, team couldn’t cross 200 run mark. Khajuria got out for 48, Parvez Rasool on 26, Manhas 18, Bisht on 12. Rohit Sharma remained not out on 2. For HP, J Dagar took four wickets while as P Jaswal took three.
