Srinagar, February 06: Jammu and Kashmir set a mammoth target of 449 runs for Tripura to chase in the last inning of Ranji Trophy encounter at Agartala, thanks to an attacking fifty by swashbuckler Abdul Samad.

After earning the IPL gig in December last year, the right-handed batsman has been the standout performer for J&K in the multi-day tournament. Known for clearing the fence with ease, he again came out today with all guns blazing, scoring run-a-ball 56 runs at a tough looking start.

Apart from him, all-rounders Auqib Nabi and Abid Mushtaq scored cameos, taking their team to a comfortable position. The visitors declared at 306/9 in second innings, posing 449-run target in front of Tripura.
