Ranji Trophy: Abid Mushtaq shines as J&K dominate Day 2 vs Odisha

Srinagar: Abid Mushtaq starred with the bat as J&K continued its dominance in the Ranji Trophy match vs hosts Odisha at DRIEMS Grounds, Odisha on Saturday.

On the day 2 of the play, J&K got all out for 180 run total gaining 50 run kead in first inning and then have reduced hosts to 126/7 in second inning at the end of days play.

Earlier on Day 1 Odisha had got all out for 130 run total in first inning. Rohit Sharma was sensational for J&K , taking five wicket haul  and giving away only 12 runs  in his 12 over spell that included 8 maidens. Umran Malik and Umar Nazir had taken two wickets each. For Odisha, Govindha Poddar scored 55 runs.

In reply J&K scored 180 runs in their first innings gaining first inning lead of 50 runs. Abid Mushtaq top scored with 50 from 51 balls.  Shubham Pundir scored 34. For Odisha, Rasjeh Mohanty took five wicket haul.

In its second inning, Odisha were 126/7 at the end of second days play. They have lead of 76 runs. Sandeep pattnaik is batting on 47 alongwith Suryakanth Pradhan on 27. Aquib Nabi, Umar Nazir and Rohit Sharma have take two wickets each for J&K while as Umran Malik has taken one wicket.
