Ranjhi Trophy-Day 2: Lower order contributes as JK score 334

 

Srinagar: Lower order contributed  crucial runs as JK got all out for 334 runs in their first inning on the second day of the Ranjhi trophy match against Andra Pradesh at Mumbai on Friday.

JK started day’s play on 206 for the loss of six wickets and went on to add another 128 runs for last four wickets to take its total to 334 runs. The runs scored by the lower order are likely to turn out as crucial for the outcome of match.

Overnight unbeaten batsman Puneet Bisht was first wicket of the day to fall after scoring 20 runs with JK total on 221. Bandee[p Singh then formed a decent partnership with Ram Dayal taking JK total past 294 runs mark when Dayal fell.

Before getting out Dayal had scored 42 runs. Bandeep meanwhile stood strong at the other end and firmed another crucial partnership with Samiullah Beigh. He completed his half century and when finally Bandeep lost his wicket he had scored 63 runs. The last wicket for JK to fall was of Umer Nazir getting out for naught. Samiullah remained unbeaten on 20. For AP, B Bhat and S Kumar took four wickets each while as V Kumar took two.
