Raman Thaploo, the Anantnag wicket-keeper batsman has been one of the unluckiest cricketers of J&K. He has been around for decades now but not been provided with any opportunities at a higher level.
The right-handed batsman while playing for champion-side, KCC, topped the batting charts in the 40-over tournament which was held by JKCA last year. He even made some runs in the only two trial matches he played. However, the cricketer wasn’t provided with a single chance to represent his state.
Now, unfortunately, Thaploo hasn’t been included in any of the four teams for T20 trials, which in a way is highly disappointing. Though, there are talks of fifth team going on around, so Raman might get a go.
Meanwhile, J&K tried several wicket-keepers including, Asif Khan, Obaid Haroon, Fazil Rashid etc this season, but none produced up-to the mark performances, which can be seen in the below attached picture. Raman, being an experienced campaigner surely deserves at least.
