The final of the Professors Special T20 Cup was played between Professors XI and Journalism Dept. Batting first Journalism Dept. Scored 94/5 in their allotted 16 overs,Shakeel Ahmad was top scorer with 41 runs,Burhan scored 11,Professor Bilal Computer Science & Dr.Rouf took 2 wickets each. At one stage Journalism Dept. Were 66/3 then Dr. Rouf bowled an excellent spell with figures of 3 overs 9 runs and took 2 wickets Bilal Nishati also bowled good he gave only 9 runs in his 4 overs and took 1 wicket.
In reply Professors XI suffered a blow on the very first ball as their opener was run out,then Numan of Journalism Dept strikes double blows and took 2 wickets in 2 consecutive balls then The captain Dr. Rouf Ur Rafiq came to defend the Hat-trick,he built a partnership with Professor Irshad of 36 runs,Professor Bilal scored 19*,Dr.Rouf Scored 16 runs. After Dr. Roufs Departure Professors XI suffered few blows and then they were in need of 36 runs of 30 balls with 3 wickets in hand. Professor Mudabir and Professor Bilal kept the score board ticking and took the situation to 18 runs needed of 13 balls,Professor Mudabir Departs and then Professor Bilal guided his team home and bowler was under extreme pressure and bowled few extras,Professor Bilal kept his cool and guided his team home,he scored 19 runs. Professor Bilal(Education) was adjudged man of the match. In this way Professors XI lift the title under the able leadership of Dr. Rouf Ur Rafiq(Environmental Science),who led his team like a champ and won the title for his team.
