Pakistan’s Babar Azam, Shaheen Afridi, India’s Rishabh Pant included in Wisden’s U-25 World Test XI

Srinagar, July 20: Pakistan star batsman Babar Azam and young lanky pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi are two Pakistan cricketers while as wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant is the only Indian to make it to the Wisden’s Under-25 World Test XI list.

The World’s respected voice of cricket Wisden picked a Test XI of players aged 25 or under that can potentially dominate Test cricket in upcoming years. The 25-year-old Babar is also named as captain of Wisden’s Under-25 World Test XI.

South Africa’s Aiden Markram and England’s Dom Sibley has been picked as openers. Sri Lanka’s Kusal Mendis has been picked at number three. Babar is placed at number four whereas England Ollie Pope is placed at number five.

Rishab Pant, only Indian to feature in the XI has been picked at number six. English all-rounder Sam Curran and Afghanistan’s all-rounder Rashid Khan has been picked at seven and eight respectively.

Barbados-born English pacer Jofra Archer, South Africa’s Kagiso Rabada, and the 20-year-old Shaheen have been picked in the pace bowling department.
