Srinagar: Pakistan Cricket Board Friday confirmed that its players can now take part in four T20 leagues around the world every year.

As Pakistani cricketers are among the least paid in the world, this could be a sigh of relief. Previously, the PCB restricted its players from playing in several leagues.

However, now the cricketers can play 4 T20 leagues, including Pakistan Super League in a year.

“I think this is a flexible, balanced and comprehensive NOC policy which addresses as many of the likely scenarios that we will face,” Wasim Khan, the PCB chief executive officer was quoted as saying by ESPNCricinfo.

“We have given primacy and importance to player workload, international and domestic commitments, but at the same time it was important that players are given the opportunities to make additional earnings and develop their skills around the world.”
