Pakistan pace duo shine in The Hundred

Srinagar: The star pace duo of Pakistan Haris Rauf and Shaheen Afridi shined together in ongoing The Hundred competition in England for Welsh Fire during their encounter against Southern Brave on Friday.

Despite Shaheen Afridi and Haris Rauf giving out best, Welsh Fire ended out at losing end.

Haris Rauf was it his exceptional best from the beginning of the match as the opponent side struggled from the start during their first innings.

After being asked to bat first, the Southern team set an impressive target of 147 runs on the board despite losing eight wickets during their innings.

Haris Rauf claimed three vital wickets of Finn Allen (21), George Garton (1), and James Fuller (0), giving away a mere 27 runs in just 20 deliveries.

Shaheen Afridi also showcased his bowling prowess, as he bowled 20 balls and conceded 16 runs and claimed the crucial wicket of Devon Conway (4).

However, despite a valiant effort by Welsh Fire, they narrowly lost the match by a mere 2 runs. Unfortunately, the team lost crucial wickets in quick succession, putting immense pressure on the lower-order batters to chase down the target.
