Over 20 outside state players taking part in Bijbehara Premier League (BPL)

Over 20 outside state players including Indian Premier League (IPL) star Abhishek Sharma are taking part in the ongoing Bijbehara Premier League (BPL).

Unlike most of the tournaments in Kashmir, BPL is being played on the turf wickets at Bijbehara Higher Secondary Ground. The T20 tourney got underway on 3rd July and is expected to conclude by 20th August.

A total of 20 teams are competing for the title and this year the competition has only got stronger, thanks to outside state players who are sharing their experience with the Kashmir-based players.

Abhishek Sharma, who stole the show with his batting heroics for Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2022, is also a part of the league. He is playing for one of the teams and his presence has already attracted a lot of people to watch the BPL games.

There are also plenty of local cricketing heroes playing in the tournament, aiming to make a mark with their performances and lead their respective teams to the title triumph.
