Srinagar: Former India all-rounder Irfan Pathan has continued his attack against Hardik Pandya ans lashed out at Mumbai Indians skipper for ordinary captainship vs Sunrisers Hyderabad.
In the game against Sunrisers Hyderabad, Hardik made big mistake, and Irfan slammed him once again. He was ordinary with his bowling changes and brought himself to bowl with the new ball despite having Jasprit Bumrah in the plating XI.
Hardik’s move backfired as the hosts piled up 277/3, the highest score ever in the history of the Indian Premier League.
“The captaincy of Hardik Pandya has been ordinary to say the least. Keeping Bumrah away for too long when the carnage was on was beyond my understanding,” Pathan wrote on X.
Continuing his rant against Hardik Pandya for playing slow, Irfan Pathan further wrote, “
If the whole team is playing with the strike of 200, Captain can’t bat with the batting strike rate of 120″.
“I will be surprise if MI doesn’t comeback. It’s a solid solid team on paper”.
Meanwhile Hardik Pandya conceded 46 runs from his four overs and took just 1 wicket. The likes of Heinrich Klaasen (80 not out off 34 balls), Travis Head (62 off 24), Abhishek Sharma (63 off 23) and Aiden Markram (42 off 28) took the team to a record-breaking score.
Pandya was able to score slow paced 24 from 20 balls while chasing mamoth total.
