Srinagar, 28 July 2021: Divisional Sports Officer J&K Sports Council Nuzhat Farooq on Wednesday July 28 distributed Olympic T-Shirts amoung prominent players and officials at Indoor Hall Polo Ground Srinagar.
“The participants reinforced their vow to support CHEER4INDIA campaign and root for the Indian contingent participating in Tokyo2020 Olympics being held in Japan,” Sports Council statement said.
“All the participants paid glowing tributes to the Pride of India, Tokyo Olympics silver-medalist Mirabai Chanu for her brilliant show and gave a stand ovation to her dedication and perseverance for working tirelessly in last five years to reach the Olympic podium,” it said.
Muhammad Iqbal, Sheikh Irfan and Adil Haqani from CDK, J&K Sports Council besides coaches of various games and many officials including staff members of the J&K Sports Council were also present on the occasion.
