Srinagar, Oct 7: In the ongoing Noor Din Memorial Cup Palhallan, Talented One’s cricket Club defeated Bangroo-XI by one wicket on Wednesday, October 7.
Batting first Bangroo-XI scored 142 for the loss of seven wickets in alloted 20 overs. Mohammad Yousuf with 41 runs was highest scorer for them while as Aijaz contributed with 34 runs. Sameer and Umar took 2 each wickets for Talented Ones while as Sardar and Shahid Afridi took 1 each.
In reply Talented Ones got off to a good strat posting 71 runs in 8 overs for the loss of one wicket with Jehangir scoring 34 while as Danish contributed 24. However there was collapse reducing Talented Ones to eight wickets down. The Number 8 Afridi smashed 32 runs from 13 balls with team needing 40 from 16. Talented Ones won by one wicket.
Later Afridi was adjudged as man of the match.
