Srinagar: Former India spinner Harbhajan Singh has brushed aside comparison between Pakistan pacer Shaheen Afridi and India ace Jasprit Bumrah.
Harbhajan has said that Shaheen isnt even close to Mohammad Siraj.
In a rapid-fire round on News24 Sports, the legendary spinner was asked to pick between Jasprit Bumrah and Shaheen Afridi.
“Jasprit Bumrah anyday. He has no competition. I think Siraj is a better bowler than Afridi. With no offence to anyone, Siraj has more pace and wicket-taking ability than the Pakistani fast bowler,” Harbhajan said.
“I am not saying this just to make someone feel ordinary, but this is my point of view, and I have a habit of keeping across my point even if people don’t like it,” he added.
Siraj recently played in the Test series against England and took crucial wickets. He will soon turn for Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL 2024.
Shaheen Afridi while leading Lahore Qalandars in PSL 2024 has failed miserably, with last year’s champions failing to make it to the playoffs.
