Srinagar, November 16: National And International Footballers Forum has hailed revival of J&K Bank Football team and it’s academy.


“The Jammu & Kashmir Bank management today issued order regarding revival of its senior football team and academy aimed their participation in Premier League J&K which is being reportedly inaugurated by Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir on 17th November at TRC Turf Stadium Srinagar,” NIFF statement said.
“During pandemic situation all sports activities came to a halt which was the reason for bank authorities to temporarily depute their manpower towards banking operations. Since the sporting activities are pacing up post Covid lockdown, it is good see J&K Bank back on the field which is undoubtedly considered as the power house of football in J&K,” B A
Malik, Chairman WC NIFF was quoted in statement.

Statement said that most of J&K footballers eye Bank as thier ultimate destination and it’s closure had disheartened them.
“Most of the players in J&K are eyeing themselves to be part of J&K Bank Football Team that is also known as a dream team for any player to play, ” Statement said.
“Over the years J&K Bank has contributed immensely in development of sports particularly in the game of football which has no parallel. I personally congratulate Jinab R K Chibber Chairman J&K Bank for issuing orders of revival of its team and academy that has brought back the smiles on the faces of football lovers and fans of the game,” Malik
said.

In the statement Malik indirectly hitting out at JKFA said that ‘evil’ elements tried to make sure Bank team remains closed.

“Many evil elements who claim themselves as football organisers left no stone unturned by issuing baseless and fake letters to mislead the
bank management. Irrespective of this we hail bank authorities that they have not paid any heed to it and issued revival orders instead, ” He said.

“J&K Bank’s return to play field will surely add much enthusiasm and excitement to the upcoming events and we look forward to see them again on a wining streak at both domestic and national level tournaments for which they are known, ” Statement added.
