Nazia Fatima brings laurels to J&K, wins bronze in School Nationals

Nazia Fatima, a talented young Judoka, made Jammu and Kashmir proud by winning a bronze medal at the ongoing SGFI (School Games Fedration of India) Nationals held in Punjab. She became the only judo athlete from J&K to secure a medal at the event so far.

Nazia trains at the Sports Council’s PMDP Judo Centre in Srinagar under the guidance of Kabra Altaf, J&K’s most successful woman Judoka and her dedicated coach.

Competing in the 44 kg category, Nazia showcased outstanding skills and determination, securing her bronze medal after participating in four tough fights.

This achievement marks her first medal in such a highly competitive tournament, bringing honor to her state and setting an example for aspiring athletes.
