National Baramati Cycling contest: Akber Khan continues to excel, finishes 9th, Waheed Ahmad returns 16th

J&K’s prime cyclist, Akber Khan continued his golden run as he bagged 9th place in the National Baramati Cycle Race which was held today at Pune while as another cyclist from Valley, Waheed Ahmad finished 16th.

In 122km long race, 150 leading cyclists from different places of India participated. Later, top 16 performers were fecilitated with the cash prizes.

With this stint, Akber Khan who is brand ambassador of Noor Hospital added one more feather to his name.
“I’m firstly thankful of Almighty. Doing well at a national event is always delightful. I would have loved to finsih even more higher but still am happy with the performance,” Akber told KSW after the conclusion of race.

Waheed Ahmad of Celestial Buds High School also did well as he finished 16th in the race while as another racer, Mansoor Ahmad couldn’t compete in the event owing to some technical problems with his bike.
