Nasir Lone leads J&K to win against Railways in 2nd practice match

A fiery unbeaten knock with by bat and an economical bowling spell by Nasir Lone on Saturday led J&K to 3-wicket win against Railways in the second practice match ahead of Vijay Hazare Trophy at Karnail Singh Stadium, Delhi.

Earlier, batting first, Railways posted a good total of 291 runs on board with Upendra Yadav and Pratham Singh scoring sixties. For J&K, Rasikh Salam picked up two wickets while Yudhvir, Samad and Nasir picked one wicket each.

In reply, J&K lost two early wickets but Vivrant Sharma (60 off 63) and Shubham Pundir (74 off 96) kept them in the game.

The match went into the wire. J&K needed 87 runs in 10 overs with just 3 wickets in hand. Then all-rounder Nasir Lone walked to bat and turned it around.

He struck unconquered 45 runs in 26 balls with the help of 5 sixes to take J&K home with 2 overs to spare. Shubham Khajuria also played a vital role by scoring unbeaten 52 off 41 balls.

In the first practice match, J&K scored 298 runs batting first. Abdul Samad (56* off 40) and Shubham Pundir (50 off 61) remained top run-getters. Railways, however, chased down the total comfortably with 7 wickets in hand.
