Srinagar: Pakistan young pacer Naseem Shah has opened up on the much highlighted reply by pacer to Bollywood actress Urvashi Rautela Birthday wish incident on social media.
Naseem Shah has clarified that his social media handles are operated by his manager.
Urvashi Rautela had raised many eyebrows as she posted Birthday wish message on Naseem Shah’s 20th birthday.
Urvashi Rautela had posted a comment on Naseem’s Instagram picture, in which the pacer had congratulated Shadab Khan on his wedding.
The actress also congratulated Naseem for being conferred with an honorary DSP rank in Balochistan Police.
“Happy Birthday Naseem Shah. Congratulations on being conferred with honorary DSP rank,” commented Rautela.
Naseem had also acknowledged Rautela’s greeting and commented,” Thank you”.
“I was playing a match at that time. You would know that managers of cricketers handle their social media accounts. So my manager replied with ‘thank you’ to all cricketers and celebrities. So when she [Urvashi] wished me, my manager also wrote thank you to her,” Naseem was quoted as saying.
Naseem said that his manager’s response should not be made into an issue, as it was a routine practice for managers to handle social media interactions on behalf of cricketers and celebrities.
