Mushtaq Bumla emerged winner in Annual Road Race 2018 for boys organized by the Govt. Degree College Bijbehara(Kashmir) on today 12/5/2018.
The Race was flagged off by Prof. Nazir Ahmad Chirag in presence of other Senior faculty members including teaching and non teaching. The Race was started from college campus, which ended at Kanelwan village, a total run of 5 kms. A medical team from the office of the Block Medical officer Bijbehara also accompanied the event for facilitation of first aid and other required medical assistance for the participants. In the Race, Mushtaq Ahmad Boomla of BG 3rd Semester secured the first place, Mohammad Idrees Bhat of BG 3rd Semester secured the 2nd place and Imtiyaz Ahmad Waloo of 3rd Semester Secured the 3rd place. At the culmination of the event the award ceremony was held in the college ground wherein the position holders as well as the participants were awarded with trophies, medals and participation Certificates. While Speaking at the award distribution ceremony the worthy Principal appreciated all the students for the participation in the race and also stressed the students to participate in all kind of sports activities of the college in future which in turn will give you physical as well as academic benefits. The Principal also appreciated the teaching and non teaching staff for the conduct of the successful event. He also thanked the Block Medical Officer Bijbehara for deputing a medical team with first aid facility for making the event a grand success. The Race was organized by the Department of Physical Education and Sports of the College.
