Mohammad Rizwan likely to be rested for 3rd T20I vs New Zealand

Srinagar: The senior wicketkeeper batter Mohammad Rizwan is likely to be given rest for the third T20I against New Zealand due to injury scar.

On Saturday, duing the second T20I, Rizwan left the field in the seventh over of New Zealand’s innings and Mohammad Haris substituted for him as the wicketkeeper.

“Rizwan is feeling better, perhaps a one-game rest for him and he will be back in the side,” Pakistan skipper Babar Azam said after the match.

Earlier during batting, Rizwan and Babar provided a solid 99-run start to the innings with Rizwan bringing up his 24th half-century in this format off 29 balls, smashing seven fours and a six.

Azam went onto score 101 runs in 58 balls, with the help of 11 fours and three sixes, which helped his side take a 2-0 lead in the five-match series.
