Mohammad Hafeez lashes out at ‘Fake’ news; Mohammad Amir support reporter 

Srinagar: In major news from ever volatile Pakistan cricket, Mohammad Hafeez slammed a journalist for attributing fake news to him and later Mohammad Amir came out in support of a journalist. 

A journalist had reported Misbah and Hafeez raised objections regarding the selection committee’s picks for the World Cup squad during meeting with PCB. Reporter posted on X (Twitter) that the duo reportedly questioned the rationale behind certain player selections and suggested including Sarfaraz Ahmed instead of Mohammad Haris.

However, Hafeez feeling misrepresented came out and replied to a  and expressed his discontent. He called out the journalist, labeling the news as fabricated and expressing his disappointment over being mentioned in such a misleading manner.

However, tweets were later deleted by both parties.

Meanwhile, later Mohammad Amir who hace long issues with Mohammad Hafeez came in support of the journalist and took an indirect dig at Hafeez.

“Brother, you are doing a great job. Keep supporting team Pakistan. If someone changes their statement, it is their fault, not your fault,’’ Amir wrote on X.
