Srinagar: The former Pakistan pacer Mohammad Amir who is news these days owing to the speculation to make it to Pakistan squad for the World Cup, suffered injury on Tuesday during Caribbean Premier League.
In the Caribbean Premier League, Mohammad Amir plays for Jamaica Tallawahs and has this season so far taken 15 wickets.
A Pakistan journalist posted that Amir pulled his hamstring and howled just three Ball’s against St Lucia Kings. Reacting to the post Mohammad Amir said that he will likely return to action by Friday.
“Bad news for Mohammad Amir fans! He pulled his hamstring and got injured after bowling just three balls in the Eliminator for Jamaica Tallawahs against St Lucia Kings.
A lot of fans were hoping for him to take his retirement back and be available in the World Cup for Pakistan, looks unlikely now, unfortunately. Amir has been on fire in the CPL, 15 wickets in 9 matches #CPL2023 #CPL23 #CWC23,” Pakistan journalist Farid Khan posted on X (Twitter).
Reacting to this Amir said, “I will be fine brother insha Allah. was on medication from last week. because of stomach infection . so just cramp up hwa hai hamstring hopefully Friday tak better ho ga insha Allah”.
Mohammad Amir has long retired from International Cricket and is active in Franchisee cricket.
