Srinagar: Senior J&K star cricketer Parvez Rasool has continued his rich form this season, and recently starred with both bat and ball for his team in Major League Tournament in Sri Lanka.
The all-round heroics by Parvez Rasool helped Badureliya Sports Club beat Sebastianites Cricket and Athletic by 17 runs in a low scoring 3-day match thriller. The former J&K skipper scored 67 runs in the low scoring affair and took seven wickets.
Batting first, Badureliya Sports Club got all out for 137 runs in first inning. Parvez scored 23.
In reply Sebastianites Cricket got all out for 136 run total in first inning. Parvez Rasool starred with the ball, taking four wickets in the innings.
In the second inning, Badureliya Sports Club scored 178 runs with Parvez Rasool being second best scorer. He scored 44 runs. In reply Sebastianites Cricket got all out for 162 run total, thus lost match by 17 runs. Parvez took three wickets.
It is first time Parvez has played in Sri Lanka and straightaway has started to perform with both bat and ball.
He has been a star performer in Dhaka Premier League over the years. No other cricketer from J&K, over the years has performed on such consistent basis outside Country.
