Srinagar, 18 September : Masters XI Ompora lifted the 17th SNW Memorial cricket trophy defeating Kashmir Knights Sozeith in the final played at SNW Ground Chanderhama Pattan Baramulla on Saturday, September 18.
In the match Masters XI Ompora outplayed Kashmir Knights and emerged winner by five wickets.
Batting first Kashmir Knights scored 167 runs for the loss of seven wickets in allotted 20 overs.Uzaib with 69 runs from 38 balls was highest scorer for them while as Haider Ali scored 29. For Ompora, Rafiq Baba took three wickets and Touseef took two. Aqib Khan also took two wickets.
In reply Masters XI Ompora achieved required target in 18.1 overs For the loss if five wickets. Aijaz Bhat with 46 runs from 40 balls was highest scorer for them while as Tauseef scored unbeaten 34 from 16. Aqib Khan scored 21. For Sozeith , Showkat took two wickets while as Fazil Dar and Mushtaq took one each.
Masters XI won match by five wickets abd lifted the title. The bagged cast prize of rupees one lakh while as runner up got 50,000.Tauseef was awarded man of the match.
