Ahmad Banday is batting on brilliant knock of 103 runs while as Irfan Pathan got out after scoring 85 as J&K continue to dominate Tripura on the second day of Ranji Trophy match at Srinagar Stadium on Wednesday.
At lunch J&K were on 290/5 with first inning lead of 166 runs against Tripura. Banday was batting on 103 off 171 in which he hit 16 fours and one six. Teams went into lunch after the fall of J&K’s fifth wicket in shape of Paras Sharma.
Earlier J&K started on 154/1 and lost Ian Dev early in the day. He scored 27. Pathan then was joined by Banday in the middle who retired hurt on Tuesday. Pathan started to play aggressively and duo formed 86 run stand between them. Pathan missed his ton by 15-runs as he got stump on the bowling of SS Ghosh. He hit 10 fours and 2 sixes before getting out. Parvez Rasool joined Banday in the middle. He got out after adding 42 runs with Banday. He was clean bowled by Harmeet Singh for 13 runs.
In-between, Ahmad Banday completed his brilliant ton of 167 balls. Just before the lunch, Paras Sharma got out for naught. Banday is batting on 103 with J&K leading by 166 with five wickets in hand.
